i must say, i'm officially jobless now. so welcome me to honey's and ken's club. that's what they told me. welcome to the club. lOls. anyway i'm feeling much better already, thanks to you guys who asked after my health. =)
being jobless makes me feel much more relax and better. i can sleep for all i want, without fearing that i've overslept. hahax. now i'm blogging a story of a girl being bullied by her boss. up to you guys to decipher it. =)
since last friday night i was sick, plagued by fever, cough n runny nose. yet i still went to work as usual. saturday morning i was late for work by 5mins, and i was treated to my supervisor's black face and bad attitude for 3hours. and yes, she reprimanded me for being late for work, (mind you, that's 5mins only, unlike her, 20mins). i told her i was sick, plagued by fever, cough n runny nose, and i overslept (which is not my fault considering i'm sick), i even took cab down to work and not by bus. and yet i was being told off for that mere 5mins lateness, which is very unfair to me. even worst thing is, she gave me that i-don't-believe-that-you-are-sick look. BITCH!
nevermind that. my supervisor gave me attitude for the next few hours, giving unnecessary comments like 'why is the shelves so messy, why you didnt packed the shelves, what are you all doing when working' etc etc. she went to shelter herself away from the sun, and i was to stand under the sun, serving customers all that. yet she complained complained complained. after that she was extremely pissed off, she went off to smoke n washroom, which took her 20mins, mind you. and i was to look after the shop all by myself during saturday, in its most peak hours. i felt super giddy from the sun's radiation, yet i can do nothing but serve customers. she came back, upon seeing i have lots of customers, she went away, leaving me alone to tend the counter. i mean, what kind of supervisor is that?
after the peak hour, she asked me to go bank to change money and helped her buy food. i didnt get to change the money cos the bank was closed for the day, and she showed me her black face, as if telling me that the bank closed was my fault. it's very ridiculous mind you. and she made a fuss over the food she's eating. so at night, i made a call to my boss, telling her i wanted to advance $50 to see a doctor as i was sick. imagine the following happenings as your worst case scenerio.
me: auntie i want advance $50 to see doctor.
boss: see wad doctor?
me: i kanna cough, fever n runny nose.
boss: eat panadol la. you every 4hours eat 2tablets confirm can heal de.
me: i wan see doctor. really..
boss (cut in) : you wan see doctor can, but you cannot take MC. you see finish doctor you must come back work, dont tell me you want to take MC.
me: ok lor.
i mean, what kind of boss is that? now the whole world is plagued by the H1N1 virus, yet i have symtoms matching the virus, she still dont want to let me see doctor. damn ridiculous sia.
sunday morning i want to see doctor, the earliest timing they can give me is 1pm. so i told my parents that i went to my work place there see. i reached there and my collegue lamented on my pale face. she told me to walk around see which clinic is open, which to my dismay, none are operating. =(
so i went back shop, saw my regular. she comment ' wa you bin cey cey(face green green, as in pale) still work ar. call your boss la. tell her you taking 1/2 day off.' i told her she in church, not free to pick up call. she continued ' wa church de still this pattern ar. bo heart sia. wad kind of boss is this? even my workers i also let them MC, she dun let u MC, bo xim eh'
lOls. then i know ym told her what happened. my regular say now at this most peak time, must see doctor even if a bit sick, cos of the H1N1 thing ma. i just dismissed it off, as i dont want to blow up the matter. at night boss asked after me, asking how i'm feeling. i said a bit better already. she say i confirm didnt take panadol that's why i still feeling sick.
it's like damn ridiculous la. i need to work without getting any proper rest, hence how the hell am i supposed to get better? bloody brainless BITCH!
so monday morning i woke up, feeling really not up to it. hence i went to see doctor. imagine the queue when i reached sengkang polyclinic. like queueing up to buy 4D sia. super long queue. queued up for temperature taking. then proceed to 2nd floor to take registration number. after that still need to wait to take queue number. then still need to go for blood test. after that need to wait for number being called out to go consult doctor. after that, go back to room to wait for number being called out to take medicine. then waitied for name to being called out to make payment. by the time i was finished with every things, it's 1plus already. 3hours of this and that.
verdict: doctor gave me 3days of MC. lOls.
and yup, after that i called my boss, informing her of my MC things. and she made a big fuss over it.
me: auntie i go see doctor le.
boss: now then you call me. you still got the cheek to call me. you know what time is it now? you very big ar, pat open shop herself very poor thing you know? she need to tend after 2 doors in a shop, she very poor thing you know? you very selfish leh, u hack care everything ar?
me: (silence due to sore throat)
boss: you dont want to answer me back ar? you think by keeping quiet you think everything will be solved ar? you very prompous very haolian very yaya leh.
me: i sore throat, feeling not very well.
boss: doctor give you MC how many days?
me: 3days.
boss: you go see doctor no need say ar. dunno how to send me 1 sms or phone call to let me know ar. you know it's very tedious to look after the shop by herself a not. you very heartless you know. i dun want such worker like you. you can no need come work already. you considering dun wan to work already ar?
me: ya. ok lor. i'm sick for few days already. my parents asked me to go see doctor for my own good.
boss: everything your parents. dont use your parents to pressurize me. your parents so big ar, ask them to hire you la. i dare not hire people like you. you no need to come work already. if you wan to sue me go ahead, i not scared. i'm a reasonable person. i talked reason. you and your parents are unreasonable people. i dun want to hire people like you. you no need come work le. (hang)
ok. that's what really happened. imagine you have such boss. a worker have 7-14days of medical leave per annual. yet i only took 2 times MC before this. and everytime i'm sick, i never go see doctor unless i'm really sick. i didnt even requested for MC. which is really unfair to me.
well, it's up to you all to decipher who's in the right who's in the wrong. i'm not afraid she will read this. well, she can sue me also. but given the circumstances, i think she will be in very huge disfavoured.
personally i think that maybe it's the 3days MC thing that scared her off. lOls. my aunt even joked about asking reporter to report about that company of mine. let people know what a heartless boss she is.
so people i tell you, if you all are job hunting, better dont find the bookshop job. it has no benefits all that shit. whatever the boss initially promised you will eventually turns up as empty promise. that's how a lousy boss she is. a boss without any credit. =)
